Cut logs or long wooden boards with a hand saw in four inserts measuring 5 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 meters long and four side rails, each 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 meters long. Use hand saw to cut four branches or short wood slabs into 40-inch, 3 1/2-inch diameter rails. Draw a 2-inch circle in the middle of each rail with a marker. This marks the pin size. Use a chainsaw to cut each rail along the length of the pin. If you use thick logs, rotate them to shave them down to a 2-inch diameter. After shaving, sand each rail until smooth.
